November Market Reports - Single Family Homes
I'm starting to hear people say they are going to "wait for the crash before I buy". Those people may be waiting a long time because the combination of factors that led to the housing crash 10 years is not present now.
But the market has slowed this fall, with the number of sales dropping and inventory rising. Is this the normal fall slowdown, or are we seeing a major market shift?
But if it is a shift that doesn't mean market collapse, it just means we may be moving into a balanced market, or even a buyer's market. (For the best local analysis of real estate trends in our market I highly recommend the Sacramento Appraisal Blog, by local appraiser Ryan Lundquist.)
